This is it, the grand finale of the 2009 Dub of the Month series. Ever since being turned onto the sitar as a young pirate after hearing The Beatles' "Within You Without You," I've had a thing for that distinct droning, and Tyler Randall played it with class. Tyler just recently moved from Ohio to Boston, and we're very glad we stumbled into him at Hemp Fest this year.
The tune also features two more Macrotones, Aaron Duffy and Wyatt Posig, on everything from congas, djimbe, tabla, clave, shekere, shakers, vibraslap, and to keep it festive, sleigh bells (because dub is all about making space, right?). The battle of minimal vs. self-indulgent fun rages on... like Buddha said, "Chaos is inherent in all compounded things. Strive on with diligence."
